Still fat, but I’m feeling more sassy than furious

I read my last post (which I edited, by the way –many mistakes in there)  that I wrote and see how angry and snarky I sounded.  I’m bordering on crank-like; crankesque if you will.  Yes, I have painted the situation from the previous post in the worst possible light, but [...]

The Fat and the Furious (edited)

It won’t be long now until we run smokers down in the street for sport.  There will be state sponsored hunting parties, cameras, commentators and maybe even baseball cards for the few smokers that manage to elude capture. Personally, I can’t wait. Like the Running Man, but with a lot more wheezing.

Next in line for [...]

Audio Audaciousness

I love these guys. Good stuff.

A missive from the Ministry Of Love

I was ‘invited’ to travel abroad and go see the future of my company.  The future looks an awful lot like the past after the past has been massaged by a crew of guys working 3 days straight, 16 hours a day.   After the trip down lollipop lane we all [...]

Maybe he should have opted for the fiddle contest..

I’m watching a show detailing the Kennedy Family on the History Channel.  You have to wonder if patriarch, Joe Kennedy signed a deal with the devil, one that expired sometime around 1941 or so.  Child after child, death after death, Joe Kennedy watched his family shrink.  A tad gruesome.

Do you like Chinese food? I love it! I guess the next 50 years or so will be awesome for me.

Do you know what’s going on right now?  Do you?  really?  I’m not talking about Micheal Jackson, or a new liberal judge replacing an old liberal judge on the Supreme Court.  I am talking about the stuff that really matters, the stuff that will dictate our quality of life for the next couple of years, maybe [...]

Is this the End Times?!? Oh, wait.. we’re cool.

The Pope fell down today.  He was walking and then he was on the ground.  the AP is speculating that he slipped while the news reporting agency Knight Ridder has theorized that a small animal or perhaps even a child may be involved.  Sadly, the Pope was on vacation, but now.. now he is in [...]

Narrow allies, red bricks and old bookstores. (edited)

For a brief moment in time my parents were part owners of a computer store in Cambridge Mass.  Our store was a 3 story red brick affair in a small ally mere blocks away from Harvard.  Next to our building was bar with a restaurant on top, much like you see in the old reruns [...]

It may not be the holy grail, but it is definitely grail shaped

The J’s mom delivered to me my belated birthday present.  She actually had it on time, but we don’t see each other too much.  I guess I don’t see anyone too much (except the Wife).  Anyway, the gift was the Led Zeppelin Box set, the complete studio recordings.

A little slice of my childhood sitting in [...]

A bi-partisan joke we can all laugh about.

Al Frankin is being sworn in as a Senator.  ‘Stewart Smalley’ -the man, um, person who was ‘good enough, smart enough, and doggone it, he liked himself’ will now be deciding policy for this great nation.  I say Frankin sticks with what works and starts rockin’ the robin’s egg blue sweaters he wore as his [...]
