I must have piss-poor taste. Truly. VH1 is doing the top 50 most awesome songs -and half the songs I like. Or at the very least recognize as 80’s hits. I mean, I know the 80’s sucked in its own special way, but some of these songs are classics. The ‘I’m too [...] Dominoes now has an Extreme Pizza! It now comes with 30% more pizza. That’s 30% more of something you will never buy. I’m watching one of those Real TV shows that show videos of horrible things happening to people. They are showing this Extreme Skiing chick going down a mountain. Things go horrible awry and she starts to tumble down the rock strewed mountain face. It looks bad. Except real TV has slowed down the [...] Scene: Man is seen jogging in suburbia. He wears a hooded jogging suit but the hood is down. Jogging Man stops in-front of a house to tie his shoes. As he does so a man leaves the house (we will call him the Husband). Husband kisses wife goodbye, gets in his car and [...] I am reading the first book in the biography of Teddy Rooselvelt by Edmund Morris. Morris is the guy who flaked on the Reagan bio -writing himself in as some weird extra character. It was an experiment that needed an editor. But Morris is a Pulitzer prize winner -and these are [...] The Rock N Roll Hall of Fame awards is on. I remember watching it last year -where a tired Bob Seger did not do himself justice. But this year, from what I have seen so far has been very well done. Black Sabbath got in. This is actually really cool. I love [...] My son learned to play chess a couple of days ago. We sat in a coffee shop and slowly plodded our way though a game. He learned the basic moves, how to tell the different values between pieces and how to look at the board for potential bad moves. Oh, sure -I [...] The Wife and I went out to Borders today and spent too much money on music. What a guilty nice feeling. My passion for music has grown so much over the recent years, All sorts of music –I mean it. Classical, old rock, classic rock, mellow rock, punk (new and old), [...] I have reached out to the Republican party. I have sent the emails. I have been to the local office (it was closed). I want to run for office. It starts today (lets hope it doesn’t end tomorrow). |
